After my wedding stationery business hit six figures in sales on Etsy alone–and then again on my own website–I knew I could help other creative entrepreneurs do the same by sharing practical strategies and valuable resources that I couldn’t find for myself. 

I started over a decade ago with zero money for advertising, zero following, and zero experience as a stationery designer. By 2024, I turned my Etsy-shop side gig into a successful corporation with two consistent revenue streams (both on Etsy and my own website). 

In 2021, I started teaching creative entrepreneurs how to start a wedding stationery business...

How did I go from Etsy shop side hustle to building a profitable wedding stationery brand?

My proven business blueprint is 10+ years in the making…

…and it’s built off of timeless marketing strategies and business practices that I put in place years ago–and they still work today to bring in consistent sales in my business, no algorithm hacking required.

When I started my Etsy shop in 2013, I was also working full time at a women's magazine. 

It was practically my dream job. But, I also really loved designing wedding stationery.

It was fun and fulfilling to have a creative outlet. Plus, starting a side hustle felt like a great way to generate extra money.

While working for a magazine was sometimes demanding and draining, I still loved it. 

But, the more I fell in love with the stationery company I created and the more energy I put into it–I quickly realized that working for myself could give me so much freedom and flexibility.

That’s when I decided it was time to quit my job.

My next step was to figure out how I was going to turn my side hustle into a full time career.

There were no resources for stationers…

Especially back in 2013, it seemed like nobody wanted to connect, share resources, or give advice.

I invested $$$ in courses, just hoping to find little nuggets of wisdom here and there to help me figure all of this out.

But none of these courses and expert coaches taught me how to grow and magazine a wedding stationery business

Eventually, I created a system that worked.

So, I had to piecemeal my own strategy over the years, figuring out what works and what doesn’t for creative entrepreneurs like us.
